With over 16 years of experience in domestic and international markets, Wafiy has achieved success in his ability to turn around declining revenues into steady profitability through targeted strategies and business plans. He is also technically sound, with proven skills that help to proactively recognize and resolve tough issues.

He’s currently the founder and managing director of Hyrem Capital Sdn Bhd and Hyrem Retail Sdn Bhd, which specializes in the provision of corporate financial advisory services, distribution, and retailing of luxury home decor & dinnerware businesses. Among his key clients are Dynac Sdn Bhd, Jakel Holding Sdn Bhd, Serba Dinamik Bhd, Almurisi Holdings Sdn Bhd, and Gates IT Solution Sdn Bhd.

During his time at Education Malaysia Global Services, Wafiy turned around, deteriorating revenue and profit to stability and major gains in profit. He also worked as an Assistant Manager for Audit and Assurance at PricewaterhouseCoopers, an Analyst in Corporate Finance at Maybank Investment Bank, and a Senior Manager at Ekuiti Nasional Berhad (EKUINAS), a government-linked private equity firm with assets under management of approximately RM4 billion. While working at EKUINAS, Wafiy was instrumental in the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of deals, including the design and construction of a complex financial model across multiple companies. He has also worked in multiple locations in Malaysia and Singapore.
